Lecture: Connected devices and experiences

JASON DAPONTE has over 15 years experience working at the junction where media and technology collide. The Swarm is his new venture, and he used to work as Managing Editor of BBC Mobile, Executive Producer for BBC ONLINE, chaired the BBC Future Media Editorial Forum and was a mentor and facilitator on the BBC Creative Network.

Jason is also a mentor and facilitator on Crossover Labs and X Media Lab. In this capacity he’s advised many small businesses and helped them build mobile and digital media competency in the UK, Sweden, Korea and Australia. He has also worked in digital roles for The Economist, Flavorpill, CitySearch, FOX, The Washington Post, U.S. News & World Report and Dealtime.com.

The video lecture embedded below (or here on YouTube) was recorded at Connectivity Lab Live, an event celebrating the inauguration of Connectivity Lab, which is an experimental prototype arena where skills, technology and researchers meet with entrepreneurs and companies to help create new and better services, experiences and products in the field of digital media and connected devices.
