Medea was originally built on the assumption that computers are no longer personal tools. Instead, for most people and most of the time, they are communication media. The consequences for interaction design of this assumption are quite significant.
Microsoft recently produced an 18-minute documentary called Connecting (embedded below) that addresses current trends and futures in interaction design. Topics such as collaborative media, organic development models, Internet of Things, infrastructuring and emergence swish by at a rapid pace – and by and large, it would seem that the original Medea assumption was not far off the mark.
